Full, joyful lives
Founded in 1997, Florida Mentor helps adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and medically complex needs live their best lives at home and in the community. Our caring team tailors service to each person’s unique needs, from day programs to group homes, host homes and more. We’re here every step of the way to help the individuals we serve reach their goals and live full, joyful lives.
Our Services
Our waiver group homes are warm and welcoming residences where adults with a wide range of needs get the daily support they need to thrive. Services include 24/7 support with daily living such as meals and personal care, community activities, skill building, and more.
In our host home programs, adults with disabilities live in private family homes with nurturing caregivers, who we call Mentors. Individuals become part of their Mentor’s family and get support with independent living skill development, personal care, and more.
Also known as group homes, our ICFs provide medical, daily living, and other supports for adults with intensive needs. Adults in our programs get the support they need to thrive while enjoying life in their community.
Our day programs are fun community spaces where adults can build independent living skills, make friends, and enjoy their favorite community activities. Activities and supports may include:
- Community activities
- Art and music
- Volunteering
- Exercise
- Computers
