For the past 40 years, Mentor Community Services programs have helped people with disabilities, mental health challenges, and other needs build the skills and positive relationships they need to full, joyful lives.
Every person we serve is unique, with skills, strengths, and their own vision for their life. We get to know each person so we can understand their needs and the goals they want to reach. We work with the individual and their circle of support to create a plan of service that works for them.
One individual may want to live in a host home and live life as part of their caregiver’s family. Another person may thrive in one of our exciting day programs. Whatever the person’s needs and goals, our caring team is here to help them grow and live well.
Helping People Live Well Since 1983
Our programs were pioneers of the deinstitutionalization movement that helped bring people with disabilities out into their communities, where they could thrive. We opened our first host home program in Massachusetts in 1983. Programs like our host homes and group homes have helped people build skills so they could become more independent and enjoy life in their community.
Since the beginning, we’ve been driven by the belief that every person deserves to live well. Our programs open doors for people with a wide range of needs and abilities, helping them develop the independence to grow and thrive.
