At Georgia Mentor, we believe everyone deserves to live a full, joyful life in their community. Since 1991, we’ve helped people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and other needs learn, grow, and reach their personal goals. From host homes and group homes to case management and more, our caring team creates a plan of support tailored to each person’s needs and goals. Our Services
Our group homes provide up to 24/7 support with skill development, personal care, and more. Caring staff support the people we serve with tasks such as making meals, housekeeping and enjoying activities at home and in the community.
In our host home program, adults with disabilities live in private family homes with caring host home providers, who we call Mentors. Adults in this program become part of their Mentor’s family and receive the daily support they need to thrive and reach their goals, including:
- 24/7 home-based support
- Independent living skill development
- Fun community and family activities
- Transportation
Our case management team coordinates the services individuals need to thrive. Caring case managers monitor each person’s support plan to help them reach their goals and access the medical, community, and professional services they need to live well.
Georgia Mentor provides crisis intervention services for the adults and children we serve and their families. These services are designed to offer short-term support during crisis and emergency situations and can include emergency placements, intensive behavioral therapy, and respite.
