We recognize that every family is different, with their own hopes and strengths that can help them grow. We get to know each child and family so we can understand their needs, goals and hopes for the future. Services are tailored to each family’s needs so we can help them live well.

Children and youth with emotional or behavioral challenges, disabilities, and other needs live with dedicated foster parents who help them heal and grow. With the support of their foster parent and our caring team, children work toward their goals, such as reuniting with family, adoption, or independent living. Supports include:
In our Mother and Infant Program, we are able to build a community of support for the young mothers we serve. Teen mothers in this program may enter foster care when they are pregnant or after they have given birth. In this program, mother and baby live in the Mentor foster parent’s home while the mother learns how to care for their child.
All children deserve to lead full, joyful lives and to have caring people supporting them as they grow. Ohio Mentor gives children more than just a safe home. We help children who have had a difficult start in life overcome the challenges they face.
Our Mentor foster parents come from all walks of life and backgrounds, but they have one thing in common. They’re caring people who want to help children live their best life.
