Children’s Host Homes

Warm, nurturing homes where children can live well

In Sevita’s host homes, children with intellectual and developmental disabilities and medical needs get the supports they need to grow and thrive.

Children belong in loving homes where they can live happy, healthy lives. In our host homes, children live with special host home providers we call Mentors. Mentors are more than just caregivers. They’re advocates, teachers, friends, and family to the children in their care. In our warm and supportive homes, children experience the joys of family and community life. While in their host home, they build skills that help them live well wherever they go in life.

Meaningful relationships

When we match a child with a host home family, we consider their interests, support needs, and the type of home they’d thrive in. Then, we match the child with the Mentor who will be the best fit for their needs – one that can lead to a long-term, meaningful relationship.
