Sevita welcomed team members and individuals served by Sage Care Therapy Services on April 26, 2021. This expands Sevita’s offerings to include home-based delivery of therapies for children up to 21 years old in North Texas and the surrounding Dallas-Fort Worth region.
“We are delighted to welcome new team members from Sage Care as we expand our service offerings into pediatric home health and community-based therapies,” said Bill Duffy, President of Sevita’s Specialized Health and Rehabilitation Services. “Providing individualized treatment plans and specialized therapies for children and their families in the home is a natural extension of the programs our team operates across the country. We are excited to offer additional opportunities for families to access this much needed care.”
Based in Dallas, Sage Care serves 900 young people across North Texas. Its pediatric therapy services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and feeding. Sage Care’s team includes staff with a wide range of expertise, including bilingual therapists and translators. They partner with families, education providers, and medical providers to ensure that children have nurturing care tailored to their unique needs.
“Our mission is to provide compassionate, child-centered pediatric therapies that position children for success and independence,” said Kelly Abrajano, Area Director and Director of Therapy at Sage Care. “With our growing waitlist, we’ve seen increased demand for in-home therapies over the past several years. I am confident that the acquisition of Sage Care by Sevita will enable us to further our mission and expand services in the communities we serve.”
