Transparency in Coverage – Machine Readable Files

Under the Transparency in Coverage Rule issued in November 2020, Sevita is required to disclose in–network provider negotiated rates and historical out–of-network allowed amounts through machine readable files (MRFs) on a publicly available website as of July 1, 2022.

These files are not “member friendly” or intended for general member use. The files are designed to be “machine readable” to allow for analysis of the data sets, but may require special software to access. They include in-network negotiated rates for all covered items and services and allowed amounts for out-of-network services.

Sevita provides health insurance coverage across the country via Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Bind, Cigna and Kaiser. The following “machine readable” files are being provided in compliance with the transparency requirements.

Blue Cross Blue Shield MA:  https://transparency-in-coverage.bluecrossma.com

Cigna:   https://www.cigna.com/legal/compliance/machine-readable-files

Bind:  https://transparency-in-coverage.uhc.com/

Kaiser:  Kaiser is a fully insured plan and therefore is responsible for posting the link on their website:  https://healthy.kaiserpermanente.org
